Tragedy in Odesa: Mother and 2-Year-Old Daughter Among Three Dead After Russian Strike
A devastating Russian missile strike on a residential building in Odesa has resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including a young mother and her two-year-old daughter. Concerns are growing that more victims may be trapped under the rubble.
In a tragic incident in Odesa, three people lost their lives due to a brutal Russian attack on a residential building, which included a young mother and her small daughter. According to information provided by Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksiy Kuleba, there is serious concern among local authorities and rescue services that more individuals may still be trapped beneath the debris.
Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported via his Telegram channel that among the deceased were a 30-year-old woman and her two-year-old daughter, as well as another woman aged 53. This tragedy was the result of a missile strike that caused significant damage not only to residential buildings but also to critical infrastructure facilities.
Kiper stated that a total of 15 individuals were injured in the attack, suffering from various degrees of severity. Among the injured are a pregnant woman and two children: a seven-month-old boy and a two-year-old girl. All the injured have received medical assistance, with the condition of the children being assessed as moderate, while some of the victims are reported to be in serious condition.
According to Kiper, the injured have sustained shrapnel wounds, burns, injuries, and poisoning from combustion products. This information underscores the gravity of the situation faced by medical personnel and rescuers who are striving to provide aid to all those in need.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba added that there may still be people trapped under the rubble as a result of the attack. He emphasized that the enemy targeted not only residential buildings but also critical infrastructure and administrative buildings, indicating the deliberate actions of the aggressor.
Kuleba noted that a high-rise building was hit, causing extensive destruction. Rescue operations are ongoing, and local authorities are doing everything possible to save individuals who may still be trapped beneath the ruins.
