Human Rights Activist Lyudmyla Huseynova to Share Three Years of Captivity in 'Isolation' in Germany
An important event will take place at the Ukrainian House in Dresden, where Lyudmyla Huseynova, a human rights activist who endured three years of captivity in 'Isolation,' will speak about her experiences.
The Ukrainian House in Dresden is set to host a significant event this evening at 6:30 PM, featuring Lyudmyla Huseynova, a human rights activist who has survived three years of captivity in a facility known as 'Isolation.' The purpose of this meeting is to give a voice to those who have directly faced the Russian incarceration system and to raise critical questions concerning human rights.
Lyudmyla Huseynova, currently the head of the public organization 'Let's Go, Sisters!', will share her personal experiences of being imprisoned. She will discuss the systematic violence methods employed against civilians, including torture, humiliation, cruel treatment, and extrajudicial executions. Her testimony will serve as a vital account of the realities faced by individuals in Russian captivity.
During the discussion, special attention will be paid to the fates of civilian women prisoners, who often fall victim to violence and abuse. As an activist, Huseynova is dedicated to the liberation of Ukrainian women from Russian captivity, and her insights will be a crucial contribution to understanding this pressing issue.
Following the discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to write letters to women who are still in civilian captivity. This will not only serve as an act of support but also as a means to draw attention to their suffering and needs.
Entry to the event will be free; however, the organizers encourage all attendees to make donations to the public organization 'Let's Go, Sisters!', which is actively working on the release of women from captivity and supporting their rights.
The event will commence at 6:30 PM, with discussions conducted in both Ukrainian and German, accompanied by simultaneous translation for the convenience of all participants. Registration for the event is mandatory and can be completed via a provided link.
This event has been made possible through the financial and organizational support of the German-Ukrainian Society (DUG) and the Alliance of Ukrainian Organizations, which are actively promoting human rights and supporting Ukrainians in Germany.
It is worth noting that a recent meeting took place in Erfurt, Germany, featuring Spanish author, war reporter, and documentarian Jay J.C. Buckley, which was also part of his European tour. These events highlight the growing attention to human rights issues and the support for Ukrainians worldwide.
