U.S. Revokes Permanent Residency for Foreign Nationals Linked to Iranian Regime

In a significant policy shift announced by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the United States has revoked the permanent residency rights of foreign nationals with ties to the Iranian regime, marking a continuation of the Trump administration's efforts to combat terrorism and enhance national security.

According to information provided by the State Department, federal agents detained Hamideh Soleimani Afshar, the niece of the notorious Iranian general Qasem Soleimani, along with her daughter. Following the revocation of their status as lawful permanent residents of the United States, they are currently in custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This detention has sparked widespread media attention and concern among human rights advocates.

The U.S. State Department claims that Hamideh Soleimani Afshar has actively supported the Iranian regime by disseminating propaganda and endorsing attacks on American military personnel in the Middle East. She has also repeatedly criticized the United States, which served as a basis for the annulment of her immigration status. Furthermore, her husband has been barred from entering the United States, underscoring the seriousness of the situation.

This action is not an isolated incident. Previously, the State Department revoked the immigration status of the daughter of former Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani, as well as her husband. Both have since left the United States and will no longer be able to enter the country. This indicates that the Trump administration is actively working to cleanse American territory of individuals who may pose a threat to national security.

In his statement, Marco Rubio emphasized that the Trump administration will not allow the United States to become a haven for foreigners who support "anti-American terrorist regimes." This reflects the U.S. government's hardline approach to combating terrorism and safeguarding national interests.

It is noteworthy that on April 1, President Trump stated that the war with Iran could conclude within 2-3 weeks, hinting that the United States has achieved significant military objectives and that the issue of reopening the Strait of Hormuz would be left to other countries. These remarks have raised concerns among the international community, as the situation in the region remains tense.
