SBU Drone Strikes Halt Production at Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant in Temporarily Occupied Luhansk Region

In a significant operation, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, in collaboration with comrades from the 1st Separate Center of Unmanned Systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has launched a drone strike on the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant. The products manufactured at the plant are supplied to the Russian Uralvagonzavod, where military equipment for the Russian army is produced, including the T-90M "Proryv" tanks and "Msta-S" howitzers. According to a report by the SBU shared on their Telegram channel on Saturday, the drone strikes were executed after the identification of critical production capacities within the plant. The impact of the strikes was significant, leading to damage to blast furnaces, key production workshops, distillation columns, gas pipelines, and electrical substations that are essential for the operation of the plant.
