Russian Forces Again Attack Kherson: Casualties and Injuries
On Tuesday, April 7, Russian military forces launched relentless attacks on residential areas in Kherson, resulting in several fatalities and numerous injuries. This tragic incident was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, who emphasized that the situation in the city has become critical.
On Tuesday, April 7, the army of the aggressor state, Russia, carried out continuous attacks on the residential buildings of Kherson, leading to the deaths of several people and numerous injuries. This tragedy was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, who emphasized that the situation in the city has become critical.
“The Russians have turned an ordinary day in the Korabelny district of Kherson into hell for the people,” Prokudin stated in his comments. According to him, as a result of the shelling, three people were killed, including two women aged 72 and 71, as well as a 60-year-old man. This news has shocked local residents, who have once again fallen victim to military actions.
In addition to the fatalities, seven others sustained injuries of varying degrees of severity. Among the injured are four women and three men who are currently under medical supervision. The condition of some of them is assessed as serious, raising concerns among medical staff and relatives.
Prokudin also reported that several buildings were damaged as a result of the shelling, including a store, a pharmacy, and apartments in multi-story buildings. These destructions indicate that the attacks by Russian troops on civilian objects continue, despite international calls for a ceasefire and the protection of the civilian population.
This incident is not the only one in recent days. On April 3, Russian forces dropped explosives from a drone on a minibus in the Dnipro district of Kherson, resulting in seven people also sustaining injuries of varying degrees of severity. Among the injured were the driver and passengers of different ages, who were hospitalized with concussions and shrapnel wounds. These incidents highlight the danger faced by the residents of Kherson, who are trying to lead ordinary lives amid the war.
The war between Russia and Ukraine has been ongoing for over a year, and during this time, Kherson, like many other cities, has endured numerous attacks. Local residents are trying to adapt to the new realities, but the constant threat of shelling and violence creates an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty. Authorities and medical institutions are doing everything possible to assist the victims, but the situation remains critical.
This incident again underscores the need for international support and action to protect the civilian population in Ukraine. Calls for peace and a ceasefire are becoming increasingly urgent as the casualties of war continue to rise.
