Russian Attacks on Dnipropetrovsk Region: Injured Children and Destroyed Infrastructure

On Saturday, April 4, Alexander Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported severe shelling by the Russian army in the Dnipropetrovsk region, resulting in injuries to three individuals, including two children.

On Saturday, April 4, Alexander Hanzha, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, announced that the Russian army has carried out serious shelling in the Dnipropetrovsk region. According to Hanzha, throughout the day, Russian occupiers attacked the region more than 20 times, employing drones, artillery, and aerial bombs. These attacks resulted in injuries to three people, among whom were two children.

Hanzha pointed out that two districts of the region were particularly affected. Specifically, in the Nikopol district, the district center and the communities of Pokrovsk, Chervonohryhorivka, and Myrivka came under fire. As a result of the attacks, fires broke out, private homes and infrastructure facilities were damaged, and a fire truck was also affected. Among the injured were a five-month-old boy, a six-year-old boy, and a 41-year-old woman. All of them are currently receiving outpatient treatment, Hanzha emphasized.

Additionally, according to Hanzha, in the Synelnykove district, the communities of Vasylkivka, Mykolaivka, Pokrovsk, Dubovykivka, and Petropavlivka were hit. Here, infrastructure and an administrative building were also damaged, and fires occurred in a private house and an outbuilding.

These events come against the backdrop of previous attacks: on April 2, it was reported that the Russian army had carried out over 10 attacks on Dnipropetrovsk, using drones and artillery. As a result of these shellings, one person was killed, and two others, including a child, were injured. At that time, fires broke out in the region, and homes, infrastructure, and transportation were damaged.

These incidents underscore the ongoing escalation of violence in Ukraine, where the war has persisted for over a year. The Dnipropetrovsk region, located in central Ukraine, frequently becomes a target for shelling by Russian forces, leading to numerous casualties among the civilian population and significant destruction.

Regional authorities are urging the population to adhere to safety measures and remain cautious, as the situation may remain tense. Meanwhile, humanitarian organizations continue to provide assistance to those affected, but the demand for resources remains high.

In the context of the ongoing war, Ukrainians continue to demonstrate resilience and solidarity, supporting each other during these difficult times. However, each new shelling serves as a reminder of the price the country pays for its independence and territorial integrity.
