Fire at Maritime Oil Terminal in Feodosia: Drones Attack Occupied Territory

A significant fire has erupted at the Maritime Oil Terminal in Feodosia, a key oil base for Russian occupiers in Crimea, following a drone attack by Ukrainian forces.

On the grounds of the Maritime Oil Terminal in Feodosia, which serves as a crucial oil storage facility for Russian occupiers in Crimea, a serious fire has broken out. According to information released by the Radio Free Europe project 'Schemes' on April 8, flames engulfed at least two tanks that had survived previous attacks by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Satellite images obtained from Planet Labs confirm the presence of fire and plumes of smoke over the oil base. Journalists from 'Schemes' analyzed satellite images taken in the preceding days and concluded that the fire continues to burn. As of 12:00 PM on April 8, the fire was still ongoing, indicating significant damage to the facility.

It is known that on the night of April 8, drones attacked the temporarily occupied Feodosia, resulting in the outbreak of fire at the oil base. Robert Brovdi (Hungarian), the commander of the drone forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, confirmed that the Maritime Oil Terminal in Feodosia was hit during this attack.

Interestingly, this is not the first time this facility has been targeted by Ukrainian forces. On October 6, 2025, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine first confirmed the damage to the facilities of the Maritime Oil Terminal in Feodosia. At that time, the fire at the damaged site lasted several days, indicating the scale of the losses.

Additionally, on October 12, information about a new attack on the oil base in Feodosia surfaced online. Eyewitnesses reported explosions, and a new fire broke out. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine later confirmed that the Defense Forces struck the Maritime Oil Terminal in Crimea again on the night of October 13, resulting in damage to 16 fuel tanks.

This series of attacks on the oil base in Feodosia highlights the importance of strategic facilities in the context of military operations in the region. Russian occupiers, who utilize this oil base to meet their military needs, are facing serious challenges from Ukrainian forces, which continue to strike critical infrastructure.

Thus, the situation at the Maritime Oil Terminal in Feodosia remains tense, and further actions by Ukrainian forces could significantly influence the course of the conflict in the region.
