Easter Bread from Khlibodar: First Export to Europe
Khlibodar, a company specializing in the production of Easter products under the brand name Rumyanets, has made a significant milestone this year by exporting its Easter bread to Europe for the first time.
The Khlibodar enterprise, renowned for its production of Easter goods under the Rumyanets trademark, prepares a wide range of products each year ahead of the Easter holiday. This year, the company has taken an important step by exporting its Easter bread to Europe for the first time. In an interview with AgroPortal.ua, the director of LLC Khlibodar, Mykola Zahryvyi, shared insights about this significant achievement.
"The assortment of Rumyanets Easter breads is evolving, and this year we launched a new product — the Pansky Easter bread with raisins and candied orange peel. We worked on the recipe for this product for about two years. As a result, we have created a very fluffy and delicately flavored Easter product," Zahryvyi noted. He also emphasized that the new Easter bread is produced using a freezing technology, which allows it to be exported beyond Ukraine's borders. "This year, our Easter bread has traveled to Europe for the first time, where European consumers will have the opportunity to taste our product," the director added.
According to Zahryvyi, the primary production of the enterprise is aimed at the Ukrainian market. Khlibodar collaborates with nearly all national retail chains, supplying them with its products not only during Easter but throughout the year.
The prices for Easter products from the Rumyanets brand vary depending on consumers' financial capabilities and primarily depend on the cost of raw materials. The director mentioned that this year there has been a 10-15% increase in raw material prices, while the final price of the product for consumers has risen by approximately 20%.
Additionally, bread prices in Ukraine are expected to increase soon, as industry representatives have reported. They are lamenting the lack of profitability due to rising production costs, which have been driven by increased prices for raw materials and other resources.
Thus, Khlibodar continues to expand its product range by implementing new recipes and technologies while also entering the international market, indicating a growing interest in Ukrainian products abroad.
