Over ₴22 Billion Allocated for Priority Resilience Measures - Kuleba

During a meeting focused on the implementation status of resilience plans for regions and cities, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba announced that over ₴22 billion has already been allocated from the state reserve fund for these initiatives.

During a meeting dedicated to the state of implementation of resilience plans for regions and cities, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba reported that more than ₴22 billion has already been allocated from the state reserve fund for these measures. This information was relayed by Ukrinform, referencing a post on social media by the government official himself.

Oleksii Kuleba noted that systematic work on preparations for the upcoming heating season began back in February. During this time, regions have developed their resilience plans, taking into account the specific needs of each area. These plans have been agreed upon and approved at the level of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).

“Some regions need to significantly accelerate their preparations. This is a matter of personal responsibility for everyone at their level,” emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister, urging for proactive actions at the local level.

As of today, regions have already started receiving initial funding for the implementation of priority measures. The state has allocated over ₴22 billion from the reserve fund, and the procedures for obtaining funding have been maximally simplified to ensure quick access to the resources. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development continues to seek additional financial resources to support the regions.

Kuleba also held a meeting with a mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), during which the funding needs of communities for successfully navigating the upcoming heating season were discussed. This indicates the government's active efforts to ensure stability and readiness for the winter period, which is particularly crucial given the current situation in the country.

Given the complexity of the circumstances faced by the regions, the government aims to ensure the most effective use of the allocated funds. It is important that each region, considering its specific needs, can implement the planned measures as quickly as possible. This will not only prepare them for winter but also strengthen the resilience of communities in the long term.
