This announcement was made on April 7, when the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in the United States revealed the nominees for the 47th annual Emmy Awards.

The film '2000 Meters to Andriivka,' directed by Ukrainian filmmaker and journalist Myroslav Chernov, has garnered six nominations for the Emmy Awards in the news and documentary categories. '2000 Meters to Andriivka' chronicles one episode of the Ukrainian counteroffensive in 2023, particularly focusing on the fierce battles that took place in the small village of Andriivka in Donetsk between Ukrainian forces and Russian occupiers. Director Myroslav Chernov and his colleague, photographer Alex Babenko, spent several days at the positions of the Third Assault Brigade, which at that time managed to regain control of Andriivka for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The film premiered at the Sundance Independent Film Festival in January 2025, where Myroslav Chernov received an award for Best Directing in the documentary category. This recognition not only emphasizes the quality of the work but also the importance of the subject matter that the film addresses.
