This year at the Vienna Ball in Kyiv, which took place as part of the Charitable Vienna Ball 2026, four girls who grew up in family-type orphanages demonstrated their dancing talents. This event provided the girls not only with the opportunity to showcase their skills but also to feel the support and love they received from their new families. The Kateryna Osadcha Foundation presented the initiative 'Dance of Dreams,' aimed at helping children with special life circumstances feel like part of society.
'This project is not about magic, but about the real power of support. We want to show that when a child has a family, they gain the confidence that allows them to stand alongside others, overcome barriers, and dream without limits. Even the Vienna Ball, which seems unattainable, becomes a reality when there is support from loved ones behind them. We provide the girls with the tools: confidence, a sense of success, and the feeling that they deserve the best. This is the foundation on which they will build their own lives,' said Kateryna Osadcha, the founder of the foundation.
The preparation for the ball lasted several months. Training sessions were held 2-3 times a week, where the girls learned the rules of social etiquette, self-presentation skills, and together with designer Olha Slon and Kateryna Osadcha, chose dresses and shoes. Each debutante had her own challenging story, which became part of their journey to this significant moment.
Anna Stepanova, one of the participants, returned to Ukraine after many years in shelters and forced emigration, where she found a new family. Sisters Anastasia and Anna Molyar experienced tough times, including hospital isolations and the loss of a brother, but thanks to their foster family, they grew up in an atmosphere of love and support. The youngest participant, 16-year-old Veronika Cherkashina, who once struggled with her studies, is now one of the top students and the first to master complex dance moves.
This initiative not only helped the girls feel confident but also demonstrated how important it is to have family support. The Vienna Ball became a symbol of the opportunities that can be achieved through effort and the support of those around them. Participation in such a prestigious event as the Vienna Ball opens new horizons for the girls and inspires them for further achievements.
The Kateryna Osadcha Foundation continues its important work, supporting children in need and providing them with opportunities for development. This project is a vivid example of how to change children's lives for the better, providing them not only with material support but also with emotional backing.
The time spent preparing for the ball became not only a learning experience but also an important stage in the lives of the girls, who, perhaps thanks to this initiative, will be able to find their place in the world and realize their dreams.
