American Pilot Who Ejected from F-15 Aircraft Sent Rescue Team Message 'God is Good'

An American pilot who ejected from an F-15 fighter jet shot down over Iranian territory transmitted a brief message to the rescue team, raising serious doubts among U.S. military officials who initially suspected a possible trap by Iranian forces.

An American pilot, who ejected from an F-15 fighter jet that was shot down over Iranian territory, managed to communicate a brief message to the rescue team via radio. This message raised significant concerns among U.S. military officials, who initially perceived it as a potential trap set by Iranian forces. Reports from reputable sources, including Axios and the Wall Street Journal, confirmed these details.

According to information available, after ejecting, the pilot was able to ascend to a higher ridge and establish communication by activating an emergency beacon, confirming that he was alive. However, as he moved further into the mountainous terrain, communication with rescuers was interrupted. The pilot transmitted the phrase, 'God is good,' which sparked new suspicions in Washington, where it was interpreted as a possible Iranian trap.

This information was corroborated by U.S. President Donald Trump, who noted that the pilot actually said, 'Thank God.' Axios clarified that sources familiar with the officer indicated his religious faith, which could explain his expression as a natural display of belief.

Following the successful rescue of the pilot, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegset also quoted this message on social media, emphasizing the importance of communication in critical situations. Elbit Systems, the military equipment supplier, reported that the pilot used their PRC-648 radio, which continued to transmit encrypted signals even after the ejection, ensuring secure communication and accurate geolocation.

It is noteworthy that on April 3, Iranian forces first shot down an American F-15 fighter jet that had a crew of two pilots. One of the pilots managed to eject and was rescued by two military helicopters. However, the second crew member remained missing for some time.

Subsequently, Donald Trump confirmed that American special forces were able to rescue the second crew member of the F-15 fighter jet, which had been shot down over Iran. According to Axios, this pilot sustained injuries during the ejection but was able to move and hid in the mountains for over a day, avoiding capture.

Trump emphasized that within a few hours, the U.S. Armed Forces conducted 'one of the boldest search and rescue operations in U.S. history' to save the pilot. This incident further exemplified the strained relations between the U.S. and Iran, which have persisted for many years.
