Following the visit, she met with Ukraine’s Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov , where he thanked Spain for its decision to allocate €1 billion ($1.152 billion) in military aid in 2026 and discussed how the funds could be used efficiently in accordance with Ukraine’s priorities. “This collaboration is a sign of our country’s commitment to the defense of democratic values, with freedom and with a just and lasting peace,” Robles said, according to Spanish news agency Cadena SER . The aid package also includes artillery shells, though specific quantities were not disclosed. During the meetings, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defense for European Integration Serhiy Boyev presented Kyiv’s strategy to increase pressure on Russian forces, target their economic capacity, and expand domestic production. Boyev also thanked Spain for its contribution of Patriot missiles under the Priority Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) program.
