Early Saturday, as residents were sleeping, Russian drones and missiles struck Dnipro, sparking fires and damaging homes, Ukrinform reported.
Dnipropetrovsk regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha said the city was under attack.

“The enemy is attacking Dnipro. Several fires have broken out. Houses have been damaged,” Hanzha wrote on Telegram.
A Ukrinform correspondent reported a series of powerful explosions in the city.
Ukraine’s Air Force also warned of a missile and drone attack on Dnipro.
Information on casualties was not immediately available.
