Explosions were heard in Kyiv during a Russian drone attack after Ukraine’s Air Force warned that UAVs were moving toward the capital from the east. Officials urged residents to remain in shelters as air defenses could operate. The attack came as Ukraine’s General Staff reported 133 combat clashes since the start of the day, with Russian forces most active near Pokrovsk and Huliaipole.

Explosions were heard in Kyiv during a Russian drone attack on the capital, Ukrinform reported, citing its correspondent.
Ukraine’s Air Force had warned that groups of Russian UAVs were moving toward Kyiv from the east. The Kyiv City Military Administration also alerted residents that air defenses could be operating and urged people in the capital to remain in shelters.

The attack came as Russia continued intense assaults along the front. Ukraine’s General Staff said in its 10 p.m. operational update on Monday, that 133 combat clashes had taken place since the start of the day. Russian forces used 4,901 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,926 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian positions, the General Staff said.
The heaviest fighting was reported in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors. On the Pokrovsk axis, Russian forces launched 26 attacks near Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Bilytske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Novopidhrodne, Molodetske and toward Novopavlivka. Four attacks were still ongoing at the time of the report.
According to preliminary Ukrainian estimates, Russian losses on the Pokrovsk axis included 50 soldiers killed and 17 wounded. Ukrainian forces also reported destroying one multiple launch rocket system, six vehicles and 50 personnel shelters, while damaging three vehicles and two guns.

The General Staff said 150 Russian UAVs of various types were destroyed or suppressed in the area. On the Huliaipole axis, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 16 Russian attacks toward Dobropillia, Staroukrainka, Zaliznychne, Nove Zaporizhzhia, Vozdvyzhivka, Charivne and near Huliaipole, the General Staff said.
Russian forces also attacked Ukrainian positions eight times on the Southern Slobozhanshchyna axis near Vovchansk, Starytsia and Krasne Pershe, with two clashes still ongoing. On the Lyman axis, Russian troops launched 11 assaults near Lyman, Drobysheve, Zarichne, Ozerne and Stavky.
Ukrainian forces also reported six repelled attacks on the Sloviansk axis and 15 Russian assaults on the Kostiantynivka axis, where three clashes were continuing.
