Ukrainian Armed Forces Regain Control Over Area in Kharkiv Region Between Ambarne and Milove - Trehubov
The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have regained control over a small area of territory in the Kharkiv region, located between the settlements of Ambarne and Milove. This significant achievement was confirmed by Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Group, in a comment to Ukrinform.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have successfully regained control over a small area of territory in the Kharkiv region, situated between the settlements of Ambarne and Milove. This important development was reported by Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Group, in a statement to Ukrinform, emphasizing the significance of this achievement in the context of the current situation on the front lines.
Trehubov noted that Russian troops had been pushed back in this area, allowing Ukrainian forces to re-establish control over the territory. However, he cautioned that the situation remains tense in other directions, particularly in the Lyman and Kupiansk areas, where the enemy continues to conduct active operations.
“Primarily, they (the occupiers) are trying to advance in the Lyman and Kupiansk directions, especially from the eastern side towards our foothold on the left bank of the Oskil River. There are certain activities occurring there,” Trehubov explained, indicating that the situation in these regions remains complex. He also mentioned the observed movement of Russian troops in the areas of Vovchansk and Starytsia, which is a common occurrence in this zone.
The spokesperson for the Joint Forces Group clarified that active infiltration actions by the enemy continue in the vicinity of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, although the situation within the settlement itself remains stable. “This is not Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi itself; it is its area, further out. There is currently a certain 'gray zone' there, with quite active Russian infiltration actions taking place. In that direction, they are attempting to advance noticeably and actively,” Trehubov noted, highlighting the threat these actions pose to Ukrainian forces.
According to data from the analytical platform DeepState, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have indeed regained control near Ambarne, marking an important step in the overall situation on the front. This achievement may strengthen the positions of Ukrainian troops in the region and create additional opportunities for further operations.
It is worth recalling that during the combat operations of the previous day, April 6, the enemy launched eight attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Kupiansk direction, particularly in the area of Pishchane, as well as towards Kivsharivka, Novoosynove, Petropavlivka, and Kurylivka. These attacks indicate that the enemy is not reducing the intensity of its actions, despite the losses and difficulties it faces.
