Ukrainian Armed Forces Repel 120 Enemy Assaults in a Single Day, Reports General Staff

According to a report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled 120 attacks from Russian troops over the past day. This information was released on the morning of April 6 on the official Facebook page of the General Staff.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have demonstrated remarkable resilience and strength, successfully repelling 120 assaults from Russian military forces in just one day, as reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This significant update was shared on April 6, highlighting the ongoing conflict and the determination of Ukrainian defenders.

On April 5, Russian forces launched a total of 72 airstrikes, deploying 242 guided bombs. In addition to these aerial assaults, the invaders utilized 8,367 kamikaze drones and executed 3,404 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions. Notably, 52 of these attacks were carried out using multiple rocket launch systems (MRLS).

In the Northeastern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the General Staff reported that the occupiers conducted one airstrike using three guided bombs and fired upon Ukrainian positions and civilian areas 83 times, including two attacks with MRLS. One combat engagement was also recorded in this sector.

In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces made two attempts to breach defensive lines towards the settlements of Starytsia and Vovchansk, but Ukrainian defenders successfully thwarted these attacks, showcasing their effective defensive strategies.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops launched seven assaults targeting the settlements of Novoosynove, Novoplatonivka, Petropavlivka, and Kurylivka, yet none of these attempts were successful, reflecting the strong resilience of Ukrainian forces in this area.

In the Lyman direction, the occupiers made two attacks towards the settlements of Kopanky and Lyman, but once again, they were met with failure. Meanwhile, in the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders halted four attempts by Russian forces to advance in the areas of Yampol, Zakitne, and Riznykivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders launched two attacks in the vicinity of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, but Ukrainian forces managed to repel these assaults effectively. Similarly, in the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian troops conducted 19 attacks near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Kleban-Byk, Pleshchiyivka, Illinivka, Stepaniivka, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped 25 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of Bilitske, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Rivne, Udachne, Muravka, Novopavlivka, and Filia. In the Oleksandrivka direction, the invaders attacked eight times in the areas of Sichneve, Krasnohirske, as well as towards Sosnivka, Stepove, Verbove, and Kalynivske.

In the Huliaipole direction, 12 attacks were recorded targeting Zaliznychne, Olenokostyantynivka, Huliaipole, Sviatopetrivka, Varvarivka, and Zelenyi. In the Dnipro direction, the occupiers attempted to storm the Antonivsky Bridge and the area near the Bilohrudyi Island three times, but they achieved no success.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine concluded that over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Ukrainian defense forces struck eight areas of concentration of enemy personnel and equipment, as well as a drone control point and another significant object. These statistics underscore the active struggle of Ukrainian military personnel against aggression and their unwavering commitment to defending their homeland.
