Zelensky Calls for Enhanced Security Cooperation Among Nations
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the urgent need for increased security collaboration among countries during his evening address on Telegram, urging the global community to draw critical lessons from current global events.
In his recent evening address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed the importance of strengthening security interactions among nations. He pointed out that war is not a solution for any state and called on the international community, particularly countries in the Middle East, Europe, and other key regions, to make the right conclusions from the ongoing events around the world.
Zelensky highlighted the significance of expanding cooperation among states in the field of security, as well as coordinating actions at the regional level. He stated, "There needs to be more bilateral security interaction between countries—especially with those who truly know how to protect lives. More coordination with neighbors and increased regional collaboration is essential: by helping neighbors, you help yourself," emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the fundamental values of normal life.
The President also underscored that there are necessary tools for enhancing security, including the protection of free navigation at sea. He noted that global security directly impacts economic conditions and energy resource prices, urging countries to intensify cooperation to prevent potential crises.
"Now the whole world has seen how dependent each country is on what happens in one region. The cost of living depends on this—all prices for basic energy resources. It is crucial not to test what will happen if another critical region loses its security," Zelensky remarked, highlighting the importance of international interaction for bolstering security.
The head of state also stressed the need for active engagement with international partners to strengthen security and prepare new agreements. "We need to act and interact to enhance security. Ukraine is ready to work with all partners to ensure security and to make it even greater," he declared, adding that the country is preparing relevant meetings and agreements in Europe.
