Zelensky Expresses Satisfaction with Budanov's Work in Negotiation and Parliamentary Directions

During a recent press conference, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his satisfaction with the work of Kyrylo Budanov, who is actively engaged in parliamentary challenges and the negotiation process.

As reported by a correspondent from Ukrinform, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky indicated during a conversation with journalists that he is pleased with the efforts of Kyrylo Budanov, who is taking an active role in addressing issues related to parliamentary challenges and the ongoing negotiation process.

Zelensky emphasized that Budanov is collaborating with the head of the parliamentary faction and is holding meetings with several deputies, which is a crucial aspect in the current circumstances. 'I know that Kyrylo Budanov is communicating and working with the head of the faction, meeting with some deputies regarding parliamentary challenges – this is important right now,' the President remarked.

Furthermore, Zelensky highlighted that Budanov is also participating in negotiations alongside other key figures, such as Umierov, Arahamiya, and Kyslytsia. 'Budanov, together with Umierov, Arahamiya, and Kyslytsia, is working in the same group. I believe they are working well, as a team. We are trying to ensure that they complement each other. That is how they are functioning today,' he stated.

The Ukrainian President assured that there are currently no conflicts within this team. 'No conflicts. At least, I am not aware of any,' Zelensky emphasized, thereby demonstrating his support and trust in Budanov's work and that of his colleagues.

Speaking about the main objectives of the negotiation process, Zelensky pointed out that the primary goal is for the Ukrainian side to 'push until the end of the war.' 'They are doing everything they can. I am satisfied with Kyrylo's work in the areas I asked him to focus on,' the President concluded.

It is worth noting that on January 2, 2023, Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Kyrylo Budanov from his position as the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate and appointed him as the head of the President's Office. This decision marked an important step in the country's management structure amid the ongoing war.

Zelensky stressed that Budanov's effective work in parliamentary and negotiation directions is critically important for achieving success in these areas. The President called on all participants in the process to continue cooperating and interacting to achieve the common goal – ending the war and restoring peace in Ukraine.
