Zelensky: Ukraine Secures Fuel Supply Agreements, Importing Necessary Volumes for March and April

In a televised address on March 27, 2023, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that the country has secured agreements for fuel supplies. According to him, necessary volumes of fuel are currently being imported into Ukraine for the months of March and April.

The head of state emphasized that these agreements encompass not only state-owned companies but also the private sector, and involve cooperation with European partners and countries in the Middle East. Zelensky expressed gratitude to all companies participating in this process, noting that both public and private entities play a crucial role in ensuring Ukraine's energy security.

"It is important that we have agreements for fuel supply to Ukraine, and currently, necessary volumes are being imported for March and April. I thank all companies—both state-owned and from the private sector," the president stated during his address.

Zelensky also highlighted that this collaboration is part of new agreements under which Ukraine "exports security" while receiving the necessary resources to ensure internal confidence and energy stability. This is particularly crucial as the country faces numerous challenges related to the ongoing war and the economic situation.

Furthermore, during a meeting with government officials that took place the same day, discussions were held regarding support for the population amid rising prices. The president stressed the importance of taking measures to support citizens, as external instability often leads to sensitive price fluctuations.

"Today, we talked with government officials about how to support people in the face of rising prices—external instability always manifests in very sensitive price fluctuations. The government must prepare steps regarding this—I rely on systematic solutions," Zelensky added, underscoring the need for a comprehensive approach to address the issue of rising prices for the population.

Thus, Ukraine continues to work on ensuring energy security by securing new agreements with international partners and taking steps to support citizens during challenging economic times.
