Zelensky: Russia Suffered Its Highest Losses in March - Over 35,000 Killed and Wounded

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported significant losses incurred by Russian forces in March 2023, marking it as the bloodiest month for the invaders since the onset of the war.

In a recent message on Telegram, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky detailed the substantial losses that Russian troops faced in March 2023. According to him, this month became the deadliest for the occupiers since the beginning of the war, with the total number of dead and seriously wounded Russian soldiers exceeding 35,000.

Zelensky noted that due to effective strikes by Ukrainian drones, 33,988 Russian military personnel were either killed or sustained severe injuries. Additionally, another 1,363 occupiers were eliminated as a result of artillery and other types of strikes. The President emphasized that these figures are verified, as Ukraine has a video documentation system that records each hit.

These numbers indicate that Ukrainian forces continue to effectively resist Russian aggression, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Volodymyr Zelensky also urged Ukrainians to remain united in their fight for their country, highlighting the importance of support from both the population and international partners.

The context for these statements is the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, which has been ongoing since 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea and began supporting separatists in eastern Ukraine. Since then, the conflict has escalated into a full-scale war, leading to numerous casualties and destruction.

March 2023 became an especially tense period as both sides continued to ramp up their military efforts. Ukrainian forces, in particular, employed cutting-edge technologies such as drones to carry out precise strikes on enemy positions, which, according to the President, significantly impacted the outcomes of combat operations.

Zelensky also emphasized the importance of international support, which aids Ukraine in its struggle against Russian aggression. He called on the global community to continue providing military and humanitarian assistance to ensure stability and security in the region.

In conclusion of his message, the President urged Ukrainians to join official communication channels such as Telegram, Instagram, and YouTube to stay updated on the latest news and events related to the war and Ukraine's efforts on the international stage.
