Zelensky: Russians Attempting to Scale Up Their 'Safari' Against Our People

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a recent video address published by the Ukrinform news agency, voiced his alarm regarding the escalating attacks from Russia targeting Ukrainian citizens. He emphasized that Russians are attempting to scale up their 'safari' against the peaceful population of Ukraine, delivering brutal and cynical drone strikes on cities and communities located near the front lines.

Zelensky pointed out that such attacks are occurring virtually every day. He provided examples of cities that are under fire, including Nikopol, Kherson, and other settlements situated in close proximity to combat zones. The President also mentioned drone strikes that have been recorded in the Chernihiv region, specifically in the cities of Pryluky and Novhorod-Siverskyi, as well as in Kharkiv region.

In his address, the head of state underscored that effective protection of Ukrainian citizens and territories requires not only financial resources but also modern military equipment. He noted that the Ukrainian government is actively working to ensure the country has everything necessary to continue its fight against the aggressor. 'We must have all the necessary tools to continue scaling our defense against the Russians and our ability to justly return the war to Russia through our long-range capabilities,' Zelensky stated.

This statement from the President serves as an important signal to both Ukrainian society and the international community that the threat from Russia remains pressing. Notably, on April 7, in Nikopol, 16 people were injured as a result of a drone hitting a city minibus, further highlighting the dangers that Ukrainians face daily.

Zelensky called for unity and support from international partners, emphasizing that effective resistance against aggression requires not only military assistance but also political and economic backing. He urged Ukrainians to remain resilient and support one another during these challenging times, as every contribution is vital in the collective effort to defend the country.

In light of these events, it is also important to note that the Ukrainian authorities continue to work on strengthening the country's defense capabilities by attracting new resources and technologies. This includes not only the procurement of modern weapons but also the development of domestic production capacities to supply the army with necessary means.

Zelensky urged all citizens to remain vigilant and cautious, as each day brings new challenges. He emphasized that together, united, Ukrainians can overcome all difficulties and uphold their independence.
