Zelensky After Meeting with Fedorov: Preparing Decisions on Military Support System
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced the preparation of significant decisions regarding the military support system following a meeting with Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. These decisions aim to strengthen the Ukrainian infantry and improve the army's contract system.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, after a meeting with Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, announced the preparation of important decisions concerning the military support system (SZCh). These decisions are set to be implemented in the coming weeks and, according to the president, will focus on bolstering the Ukrainian infantry and enhancing the contract system within the army.
Zelensky stated, "Today, we agreed with the minister on a number of tasks for the upcoming weeks. In particular, we are preparing decisions to strengthen the Ukrainian infantry, the contract system in the army, and responses regarding the SZCh – the measures must be effective in practice." These remarks underscore the seriousness of the Ukrainian leadership's intentions to ensure the efficiency of military units.
Additionally, the president revealed plans to scale up the export capabilities of Ukrainian arms manufacturers and develop joint production ventures with international partners. This initiative could significantly enhance the country's defense capabilities and meet its military needs amid the ongoing aggression from Russia.
Zelensky also shared information regarding the losses suffered by Russian troops in March, which have reached record levels. "Only due to our drone strikes, 33,988 Russian soldiers were killed or seriously wounded, and another 1,363 occupiers were eliminated through artillery and other strikes," he noted. These figures are corroborated by video documentation of each instance of impact, indicating a high level of accuracy and effectiveness in Ukrainian military operations.
The president praised the heroism and professionalism of Ukrainian soldiers, particularly the fighters from the Special Operations Center 'A' of the Security Service of Ukraine, the 'Madyar Birds' unit, the border guards' special unit 'Phoenix,' Lazar's Group, and the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade. These units have demonstrated exceptional results in the use of drones, which has become a crucial factor in combating Russian aggressors.
Zelensky also pointed out that the results in destroying Russian air defense systems have significantly increased, with 274 such systems being hit in March. This reflects the active measures taken by Ukrainian forces in countering Russian threats and underscores the importance of drones in modern military conflicts.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, promises to present a public detailed report for March soon, which will provide the public with more information about the outcomes of military actions and the state of affairs in the defense sector.
