In a video address, the president stated that Ukrainian forces are carefully documenting and controlling the situation, warning that Ukraine is prepared to react to any attempts to draw neighboring forces into aggressive actions against its sovereignty. Zelensky emphasized ongoing negotiations with partners in Europe , the Middle East , and the Gulf to strengthen Ukrainian air defenses and bolster economic stability, adding that he expects “weighty results” from high-level talks scheduled for May.  This warning follows a period of heightened tension and digital suppression within Belarus. Recently, the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation reported that Minsk has begun tightening control over internet access , mirroring Russian “sovereign internet” policies. These domestic restrictions coincide with escalations in Alexander Lukashenko’s rhetoric and warnings from former Ukrainian officials that Belarus remains a potential platform for a new escalation , similar to the 2022 northern invasion route through Chornobyl .
