In a Telegram post following his meeting with Fico, Zelensky said Ukraine is open to “constructive dialogue” with Slovakia and interested in strengthening bilateral relations. The two leaders discussed cooperation across sectors and agreed to prepare a meeting of their governments in the format of an intergovernmental commission. They also discussed Ukraine’s bid to join the European Union, with Zelensky noting that Slovakia supports Ukraine’s accession and is ready to assist in the process. The sides also agreed to work on scheduling reciprocal visits to Kyiv and Bratislava. During talks with Tusk , Zelensky said he briefed the Polish prime minister on ongoing efforts to achieve a “just peace,” stressing the need for a long-term ceasefire and reliable security guarantees. The two leaders also discussed preparations for the upcoming Ukraine Recovery Conference, regional relations, and coordination with international partners. Zelensky thanked Poland for its continued support of Ukraine’s EU integration and expressed hope that accession negotiation clusters could be opened in the near future.
