Transportation Procurement for Defense Forces to be Managed by AОЗ ДОТ – Fedorov

The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has made a significant decision regarding the procurement of transportation for the Defense Forces. The State Operator of Rear Support's Defense Procurement Agency (AОЗ ДОТ) has been granted the status of a centralized procurement organization.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made a crucial decision that pertains to the organization of transportation procurement for the Defense Forces. The State Operator of Rear Support's Defense Procurement Agency (AОЗ ДОТ) has now been designated as a centralized procurement organization. According to Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, this decision will enable AОЗ to administer the electronic catalog of Prozorro Market and take on the responsibility for interaction with the market.

Minister Fedorov highlighted in his Telegram message that this decision represents an important step in meeting the needs of the military. 'We are closing another request from the military – we are accelerating the procurement of pickups so that units can quickly receive transportation. What the units previously did independently will now be provided by the Defense Procurement Agency of the Rear Support,' he wrote, emphasizing the significance of this step for ensuring the mobility and operational efficiency of military units.

According to the minister, the Defense Procurement Agency will be responsible for key stages of the procurement process. Among the main tasks that AОЗ will undertake are conducting market consultations, formulating and standardizing technical requirements, establishing qualification criteria, as well as selecting and verifying suppliers. This will significantly simplify the procurement process and ensure high-quality goods.

Fedorov also noted that Defense Forces units will only need to select a category and specification from the catalog, after which the system will automatically identify the supplier with the best offer among verified options. 'In the first phase, the catalog includes motorcycles, ATVs, and buggies – mobility assets that ensure the maneuverability of units. Our task is to make procurement as simple, fast, and efficient as possible,' the minister emphasized.

This initiative is part of a broader strategy by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine aimed at improving the supply for military units. Future plans for the Defense Procurement Agency include expanding the range of products available for order, which will further simplify the supply process for the military. Specifically, there are plans to include new types of equipment and machinery that could be beneficial for units in carrying out their tasks.

Thus, the new status of AОЗ ДОТ will not only simplify the procurement process but also allow for a more effective response to the needs of the military, which is extremely important in the context of modern warfare. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to work on enhancing the supply system to ensure that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have everything necessary to fulfill their missions.
