Nighttime Attacks on Dnipropetrovsk Region Result in Injuries to Two Children and a Woman

In the early hours of April 3, 2023, the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine was subjected to numerous assaults by Russian military forces, which executed over 20 hostile strikes across the territory. According to information released by Oleksandr Hanzeha, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, these attacks were carried out using drones, artillery, and aerial bombs.

Specifically, the enemy strikes targeted two districts within the region. In the Nikopol district, the town center was hit, along with the communities of Pokrovsk, Chervonohryhorivka, and Myrivka. The attacks resulted in multiple fires, damage to private homes, and infrastructure, including one fire truck. Reports indicate that three individuals were injured as a result of these assaults, including two children: a 5-month-old boy and a 6-year-old boy, as well as a 41-year-old woman. All injured parties received outpatient treatment.

Moreover, in the Synelnykove district, communities such as Vasylkivka, Mykolaivka, Pokrovsk, Dubovykivka, and Petropavlivka also endured strikes. Infrastructure was severely damaged, an administrative building was destroyed, and both a private house and an outbuilding were set ablaze.

During the night, Ukrainian forces successfully shot down 10 unmanned aerial vehicles over the Dnipropetrovsk region, demonstrating the active air defense capabilities in the area.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, throughout the day on April 3, Russian troops launched over 40 attacks on four districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region, employing missiles, drones, and artillery shelling. These assaults resulted in one fatality and 12 injuries, including a child.

This ongoing situation underscores the persistent threat posed by Russian aggression to the civilian population of Ukraine, as well as the critical importance of supporting and protecting civilians amidst the war. Authorities are urging citizens to exercise caution and adhere to safety measures during air raid alerts.
