146 Clashes Reported on the Frontline in One Day, Most Intense in the Pokrovsk Direction
On April 1, Ukrainian Defense Forces faced numerous attacks from Russian invaders, resulting in 146 combat clashes across various frontline areas, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the last day, April 1, Ukrainian Defense Forces encountered a series of aggressive assaults from Russian invaders, leading to a total of 146 combat clashes across different sections of the frontline. This information was reported in a summary by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published on their official Facebook page as of the morning of April 2.
In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, two clashes occurred, during which Russian forces carried out six airstrikes, dropping 20 guided bombs. Additionally, the enemy conducted 94 shellings of Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, four of which were executed using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South-Slobozhansky direction, the invaders launched four assaults in the vicinity of the settlements of Starytsia, Vovchansk, and Krasne Pershe, attempting to advance their positions. In the Kupiansk direction, the aggressor attacked 12 times, particularly in the areas of Kurylivka, Borivska Andriivka, Pishchane, Kivsharivka, Novoplatonivka, and Novoosynove.
The Lyman direction also saw significant activity, with Russian troops conducting six attacks near Lyman and Stavky. In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully halted four attempts by the occupiers to advance in the areas of Rai-Oleksandrivka, Riznykivka, and Yampol, demonstrating resilience and professionalism in fulfilling their duties.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy made one attempt to advance towards the settlement of Malynivka but was also unsuccessful. In the Kostiantynivka direction, the invaders conducted 17 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Stepanivka, Yablunivka, and Sofiivka, trying to consolidate their positions.
The highest number of combat clashes occurred in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian defenders thwarted 31 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of Bilytske, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Novomykolaivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novopidhorodne, Hryshyne, and Filiia. This direction has become the epicenter of hostilities, where Ukrainian military personnel showcased a high level of training and bravery.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the occupiers carried out seven attacks in the areas of Oleksandrhrad, Novo Zaporizhzhia, Berezove, and Novohryhorivka. Meanwhile, in the Huliaipole direction, Russian troops conducted 20 attacks in the areas of Varvarivka, Zaliznychnyi, Huliaipole, Tsvitkove, Hirke, Sviatopetrivka, Olenokostiantynivka, and Myrne, indicating an escalation of hostilities in this region.
In the Dnipro direction, Russian forces attempted to advance near the Bilohrudyi Island and Antonivskyi Bridge; however, these efforts also proved unsuccessful. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that over the past day, aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck three areas of concentration of enemy personnel, inflicting significant losses on them.
