Russian Shelling in Kherson Region Claims Two Lives and Injures Thirteen

The Kherson region has once again fallen victim to the aggression of Russian forces, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to thirteen others, including one child, as reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

The Kherson region has once again fallen victim to the aggression of Russian forces, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to thirteen others, including one child, as reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

In a statement on the social media platform Telegram, Prokudin noted, "Due to Russian aggression, 2 people have died, and another 13 have been injured, including 1 child." This tragedy occurred against the backdrop of ongoing shelling that has not ceased in recent days.

According to the head of the regional administration, yesterday, numerous settlements in the region were subjected to enemy drone terror, airstrikes, and artillery bombardments. Among the affected areas were Antonivka, Sadove, Inzhenerne, Prydniprovske, Bilozirka, Stanislav, Sofiivka, Kizomys, Tomyna Balka, Shyroka Balka, Rozliv, Yantarne, Romashkove, Tokarivka, Ivanivka, Mykil'ske, Novotyahynka, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Chervone, Mylove, Novoraisk, Shchastlyve, Burhunka, Lvivove, Mykhailivka, Novokairy, Olhivka, Tomaryne, Tyahynka, Fedorivka, Vesele, Kozatske, and the city of Kherson.

Prokudin also mentioned that Russian military forces targeted critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential neighborhoods. As a result of the shelling, eight multi-story buildings and seventeen private homes were damaged. This further underscores the brutality and irresponsibility of the aggressor, who shows no regard for the lives of civilians.

Moreover, the shelling not only affected residential buildings but also other infrastructure. Occupiers damaged a store, ambulances, agricultural machinery, and private vehicles. These actions indicate targeted attacks on civilian objects, which constitute a violation of international humanitarian law.

The situation in the Kherson region remains tense, and local residents continue to suffer from the consequences of military actions. Authorities are urging the population to exercise caution and adhere to safety measures, as the threat of shelling remains high.

This incident serves as yet another confirmation that the war in Ukraine continues, and unfortunately, civilians remain the most vulnerable in this situation. Authorities and the international community must take all possible measures to protect the civilian population and hold the aggressor accountable for the crimes committed.
