Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, reported that Russian troops in southern Ukraine have effectively instigated terror against the civilian population, resulting in tragic casualties.
Vladislav Voloshin, the spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, commented to Ukrinform that Russian troops in southern Ukraine have effectively instigated terror against the civilian population. He emphasized that strikes are being carried out on civilian objects in cities and villages, particularly in Nikopol, where Russian forces are deliberately targeting public transport. As of 5:30 PM, 49 injuries have been recorded, marking the highest number in recent times.
According to the information provided by Voloshin, populated areas in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Kherson regions have come under fire. In Nikopol, a drone attack damaged an administrative building, residential houses, vehicles, and a bus. As a result of this attack, 4 people lost their lives, and 18 others sustained injuries. In Kherson, shelling destroyed a pharmacy, claiming the lives of 4 individuals, while another 11 were injured.
Furthermore, in Romanky, Dnipropetrovsk region, a child was killed due to a drone strike, and three others were injured. These figures indicate that Russian attacks have devastating consequences for the civilian population, who are not participants in the hostilities.
Voloshin also reported significant destruction of civilian infrastructure due to the shelling. In Vylkove, a three-story administrative building, a hangar, and garages were destroyed, while in Vilniansk, a residential building and outbuildings were damaged. In Stepaniivka, shelling damaged a hospital and a school, resulting in injuries to three people, including a child. In many populated areas, such as Bilenke, Lysohirka, Nizhniy Khortytsia, Tavriyske, and Striukivka, cases of civilian injuries and damage to residential buildings, transport, and other facilities have also been recorded.
It is worth noting that Russian invaders attacked a bus carrying passengers in the Nikopol district for the second time in one day, resulting in injuries to 5 individuals. These events further underscore the horrific situation faced by civilians suffering from aggression by Russian troops.
In light of these events, it is crucial for the international community to pay attention to the terror being inflicted on the civilian population in southern Ukraine. Authorities and human rights organizations must take action to protect civilians and ensure their safety.
