New Post Branch Destroyed in Zaporizhia Region Due to Night Attack

In the early hours of Thursday, October 26, the Zaporizhia region became a target for enemy attacks once again, with a branch of the leading express delivery service in Ukraine, New Post, being destroyed. The attack was carried out using a strike drone known as 'Geran 2,' resulting in the complete destruction of the branch located in the village of Novomykolaivka. The company reported a loss of over 150 parcels that were in the warehouse at the time of the attack.

According to information provided by New Post through their Telegram channel, none of the employees were harmed, as the branch was closed at night. This news was undoubtedly a relief in a region where hostilities and numerous attacks on civilian infrastructure continue to unfold.

The company also announced that the preliminary amount of compensation they plan to pay to customers for the destroyed parcels is approximately 300,000 hryvnias. The process of contacting customers whose packages were in the branch at the time of the attack has already begun to address compensation issues.

Furthermore, New Post indicated that a mobile branch will soon be established at the site of the destroyed location. This will allow the company to continue providing delivery services in the region despite the challenging circumstances created by military actions.

The head of the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, also commented on the situation, noting that as a result of the enemy attack in the region, one person was killed and four others were injured. In his Telegram message, he emphasized that the number of casualties is increasing due to a morning strike by Russian forces on the Zaporizhia district, which resulted in the destruction of several private homes in the village of Balabine.

This attack serves as yet another confirmation that civilian infrastructure in Ukraine continues to suffer severe destruction due to military actions. Local residents and businesses are facing enormous challenges, yet they are striving to restore normal life and operations amid the difficult conditions of war.
