New Power Outages Reported in Six Regions Due to Attacks, Severe Weather Cuts Power to Four Settlements in Poltava – "Ukrenergo"

As of the morning of April 3, Ukraine continues to face relentless attacks on its energy infrastructure, resulting in new power outages across six regions, according to the National Energy Company "Ukrenergo."

The enemy has not ceased its attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, and as of the morning of April 3, new power outages have occurred in six regions: Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia due to drone and artillery strikes on energy facilities. This information was reported by the National Energy Company "Ukrenergo" on Friday, emphasizing that the situation remains complex.

The system operator "Ukrenergo" noted that emergency recovery works are being conducted where security conditions permit. This is a crucial step, as restoring electricity supply is critical for ensuring the stability of the energy system and the comfort of the population.

In addition, due to adverse weather conditions, as of Friday morning, full or partial power outages were recorded in four settlements in the Poltava region. Repair crews from the regional energy company are already working to resolve the issues to restore electricity supply to residents as quickly as possible.

It is important to note that "Ukrenergo" confirmed that on April 3, power limitation schedules for industry were implemented across all regions of Ukraine from 06:00 to 22:00. Furthermore, announced hourly outages were in effect for all categories of consumers from 07:00 to 11:00. This decision was made to optimize energy consumption amid limited resources.

The situation in the energy system remains dynamic, and "Ukrenergo" urges consumers to follow updates on the official websites and social media pages of local distribution system operators (oblenergo). This will allow them to receive current information about the state of electricity supply and possible changes in outage schedules.

According to the system operator, electricity consumption on Friday decreased due to the forced implementation of limitation measures. As of 9:30, the level of electricity consumption was 7.9% lower than at the same time the previous day – Thursday. This indicates that the measures being taken to reduce the load on the energy system are beginning to yield results.

It is also worth noting that on April 2, a daily peak in electricity consumption was recorded, which in the evening was 1.4% lower than the peak of the previous day – Wednesday, April 1. This indicates that consumers are still adapting to new consumption conditions and are trying to reduce the load on the energy system amid ongoing attacks and disruptions in electricity supply.
