Russian Military Attacks Nikopol with FPV Drone: One Dead, Another Injured

The Russian military has carried out an attack on the city of Nikopol, employing a first-person view (FPV) drone. This alarming information was shared by Oleksandr Hanzha, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, via the Telegram platform, underscoring the seriousness of the situation in the region.

According to Hanzha's report, one person was killed in the attack, and another individual sustained injuries. The injured woman, aged 60, was urgently hospitalized. Medical professionals are assessing her condition as extremely critical, and they are providing all necessary assistance to stabilize her health.

This incident occurred against the backdrop of escalating tensions in Nikopol, where just recently, on April 4, five people lost their lives due to shelling at a local market, and an additional 26 were injured. These incidents highlight the ongoing threat posed by military actions in the area and raise concerns among local residents.

Commenting on the situation, Oleksandr Hanzha emphasized that attacks on civilian infrastructure, such as markets and residential areas, are unacceptable. He urged the international community to pay attention to these crimes against humanity and take measures to protect the civilian population.

Nikopol, located in eastern Ukraine, has repeatedly become a target for attacks by Russian military forces. Local residents are enduring difficult times, as constant shelling creates perilous living conditions. Many people are leaving their homes in search of safer places, but not everyone can afford to do so.

The Dnipropetrovsk regional authorities continue to work on providing assistance to those affected and ensuring the safety of the population. However, despite these efforts, the situation remains tense, and the residents of Nikopol continue to suffer the consequences of war.
