In a significant update on the ongoing conflict, Major Grigory Shapoval, spokesperson for the Eastern military grouping, reported that Ukrainian forces have successfully eliminated over 6,500 Russian soldiers in the past month, marking a substantial blow to the enemy's combat capabilities.
In a recent statement to the Ukrinform news agency, Major Grigory Shapoval, the spokesperson for the Eastern military grouping, detailed the considerable successes of Ukrainian forces in their ongoing battle against Russian occupiers. He emphasized that preliminary data indicates that, over the last month, the troops of this grouping have destroyed more than 6,500 Russian military personnel, which represents a significant strike against the enemy's operational capabilities.
Shapoval highlighted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to actively carry out their mission in the eastern direction, focusing their efforts on eliminating enemy personnel. According to him, this strategy significantly weakens the operational capacity of Russian forces in the region. He noted, “The enemy’s sanitary losses have reached nearly 4,000,” pointing to the serious toll the adversary is facing.
The spokesperson assured that the invaders are suffering substantial losses, which is indicative of the effectiveness of the actions taken by Ukrainian military personnel. It is important to note that the total combat losses of Russian troops since the onset of the war against Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022, amount to approximately 1,301,260 individuals as of April 3, 2026. Among these, 1,230 soldiers were reported killed in just the previous day.
These figures demonstrate that Ukrainian forces continue to actively counter aggression and deliver significant blows to the enemy. Military experts have pointed out that such losses could have a profound impact on the morale of Russian troops and their ability to execute combat missions effectively.
In the context of the ongoing conflict, it is crucial for Ukrainian forces to maintain support from international partners, enabling them to strengthen their positions and ensure the security of the country. Notably, information channels such as Telegram, Instagram, and YouTube are becoming vital tools for disseminating information about the situation on the front lines and drawing attention to the issues surrounding the war in Ukraine.
