Russian Forces Strike Kherson Again: Two Injured, Water Supply Disruptions Reported

Kherson has once again been rocked by explosions from enemy attacks, causing significant damage to local residents and infrastructure, according to the city's military administration.

In Kherson, explosions have once again echoed through the city as a result of hostile attacks, leading to considerable harm to local residents and infrastructure. This information was shared by the city’s military administration via the social media platform Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform.

As a result of the enemy attack, a 31-year-old woman sustained a concussion, explosive and closed head injuries, as well as shrapnel wounds to her left leg. At the time of the shelling, she was in her apartment, highlighting the peril faced by the city's inhabitants. The injured woman was urgently transported to the hospital, where medical professionals assessed her condition as moderate.

Additionally, the city administration reported another victim from this attack. A 53-year-old woman was also taken to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with explosive injuries and shrapnel wounds to her chest. These incidents underscore the seriousness of the situation in the region, where civilians are becoming casualties of military actions.

Yaroslav Shanko, the head of the Kherson city military administration, added that the water supply network in the Shumensky microdistrict was damaged due to the enemy strike. As a result, approximately 20 apartment buildings were left without water supply, creating further difficulties for residents who are already suffering from the consequences of the war.

Water utility specialists are currently assessing the extent of the damage to determine what work is necessary to restore the water supply. Yaroslav Shanko assured that emergency recovery operations would commence at the earliest opportunity to restore normal living conditions for the city's residents as quickly as possible.

It is important to note that this is not the first instance of Russian forces striking Kherson. On April 3 of this year, the Russian army targeted the Dniprovsky district of Kherson with guided aerial bombs, resulting in the death of a 60-year-old woman and injuries to a man. These events highlight the ongoing threat to the population, which continues to live under the conditions of war.
