Russian Forces Launch 95 Strikes in Sumy Region Within a Day
According to the information agency Ukrinform, the Sumy regional military administration has reported a series of attacks by Russian forces in the Sumy region, resulting in significant consequences for the local population.
As reported by the information agency Ukrinform, the Sumy regional military administration has released data on numerous attacks carried out by Russian troops in the Sumy region. During the course of a single day, 95 strikes were recorded, leading to severe repercussions for the local inhabitants.
Specifically, six children received medical assistance following a drone attack that occurred on the night of April 4. Among the injured were girls aged 4, 5, 8, 8, and 10, as well as an 11-year-old boy. This tragedy underscores the horrific consequences of military actions on the youngest citizens.
Additionally, medical facilities treated women aged 48, 51, and 71, as well as men aged 53, 53, and 71, who were injured on April 3 due to strikes from cluster bombs in the Shostka community. These incidents indicate that the attacks by Russian forces spare neither children nor adults, inflicting harm on the civilian population.
The highest number of Russian attacks was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts, where the enemy employed various types of weaponry, including mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs. This variety of munitions highlights the seriousness of the threat faced by residents of the Sumy region.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, another incident occurred on the morning of April 4 in the Svesa community of the Sumy region, where a 68-year-old man was injured after running over a Russian drone that detonated. This incident further emphasizes the dangers associated with military actions, even for those who are not direct participants in the conflict.
The situation in the Sumy region remains tense, and local residents continue to suffer from the consequences of aggression. Authorities are urging the population to exercise caution and adhere to safety measures. Recent events serve as a reminder of the importance of international support and the necessity to halt military actions that harm innocent civilians.
