Russian Forces Strike Administrative Buildings in Chernihiv Region, Casualties Reported

On October 23, Vyacheslav Chaus, the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported new attacks by Russian troops in the Chernihiv region, resulting in injuries and fires at the strike sites.

Today, October 23, Vyacheslav Chaus, the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, took to his Telegram channel to announce fresh attacks by Russian forces on the territory of Chernihiv. According to Chaus, the aggressor targeted administrative buildings in the towns of Novhorod-Siverskyi and Pryluky, leading to fires erupting at the sites of the strikes.

Chaus noted that emergency responders and all necessary services are currently engaged and actively working at the scene of the events. He also reported that preliminary information indicates there are casualties; however, details regarding the number of injured and their conditions are still being clarified.

This attack follows a previously recorded strike on the building of the state tax inspection in Novhorod-Siverskyi. This incident underscores the ongoing aggressive actions of Russian troops in Ukraine, particularly in the Chernihiv region, which has repeatedly faced shelling from enemy forces.

It is important to highlight that Chernihiv is one of the regions that has suffered the most from military actions since the onset of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Local residents have long grown accustomed to the sounds of air raid sirens and the constant threats posed by the aggressor. Nevertheless, despite all the hardships, people continue to live, work, and support one another during these challenging times.

Vyacheslav Chaus also urged residents to exercise caution and adhere to safety measures, as the situation remains tense. He emphasized the importance of the rapid response of rescue services and the readiness for potential new attacks.

In light of these events, we encourage everyone to stay updated with the news and join our channels on Telegram, Instagram, and YouTube to receive timely information about the situation in the region and the country as a whole.
