Russian Forces Deploy Additional Assault Groups to Pressure Hryshyne, Military Reports
Ukrainian military sources report an escalation of Russian military activities in the Pokrovsk agglomeration, with additional assault groups being deployed to intensify their offensive operations.
According to the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their Telegram channel, Russian troops are ramping up their actions in the Pokrovsk agglomeration. They are attempting to strengthen their offensive by increasing the number of long-range artillery units within the operational zone of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps. The enemy is employing various camouflage techniques, hiding their artillery both in wooded areas and among residential buildings.
In light of this situation, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are actively identifying and destroying Russian artillery pieces. Over the past day alone, Ukrainian troops managed to damage and destroy five units of enemy artillery in the regions of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. These actions demonstrate a high level of readiness and professionalism among Ukrainian military personnel, who continue to hold their positions in the northern part of Pokrovsk despite constant pressure from the enemy.
Ukrainian forces have succeeded in slowing down the enemy's advance, allowing them to concentrate efforts in other directions, particularly in Hryshyne and Rodynske. In Hryshyne, active firefights are ongoing, especially in the southeastern part of the village, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces are receiving active support from drone units and artillery.
Despite the efforts made by Russian troops, their attempts to deploy additional assault groups to exert pressure on Hryshyne have not been successful. The enemy is trying to use motorized equipment to reinforce their attacks; however, Ukrainian military forces continue to resist effectively.
According to Ukrinform, as of 4:00 PM on April 7, the Russian army has conducted 82 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The highest intensity of fighting has been observed in the Kostiantynivka, Huliaipole, and Pokrovsk directions. This information indicates that the situation remains tense, and Ukrainian forces continue to fight to maintain their positions.
