Russian Forces Attack Kramatorsk with Airstrikes - Two Dead and Three Injured
In a devastating airstrike today, Russian forces targeted the city of Kramatorsk, resulting in the deaths of at least two individuals and injuries to three others, as reported by the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin.
At 3:30 PM today, Vadym Filashkin, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, took to social media platform Facebook to report the horrific consequences of airstrikes carried out by Russian forces on the city of Kramatorsk. According to his statement, these attacks have resulted in the deaths of at least two people, while three others have sustained injuries.
Filashkin noted that at noon, Russian forces dropped five aerial bombs on the city, leading to significant destruction. Five multi-story residential buildings, a service station, and five vehicles were damaged in the strikes. Emergency services are already on the scene, working to mitigate the aftermath of the attack and provide assistance to the victims.
The head of the Donetsk region emphasized that strikes on residential buildings in broad daylight represent a conscious choice and a deliberate tactic by Russian military forces. This indicates that the enemy shows no regard for civilian populations and continues to strike at peaceful residents, which constitutes a gross violation of international humanitarian law.
This attack on Kramatorsk is part of a broader campaign by Russian troops, who have killed three civilians in the Donetsk region over the past day, with an additional 13 people injured. These figures highlight that the situation in the region remains extremely tense, and the lives of civilians are under threat due to ongoing military actions.
Vadym Filashkin urged all residents of Kramatorsk and surrounding areas to exercise caution and adhere to safety measures. He also stressed the importance of support from the international community in the ongoing fight against aggression and the necessity of providing humanitarian aid to those affected by the conflict.
It is worth noting that Kramatorsk, like many other cities in eastern Ukraine, has repeatedly become a target for Russian military attacks. The city, which has become an important strategic point, faces constant pressure from the aggressor, causing concern among local residents and international organizations.
