In other news from the Middle East, Pope Leo XIV urged "those in power to resolve wars" to choose peace during his first Easter blessing speech. "We are becoming accustomed to violence, resigning ourselves to it, and becoming indifferent. Iranian military officials announced that a U.S. operation to rescue a missing pilot from a downed fighter jet was "completely thwarted."
