Ukrainian Youth Hockey Team Announces Roster for Training Camp
The Ukrainian youth hockey team is gearing up for an important tournament in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland, as announced by the press service of the Ukrainian Hockey Federation (UHF). Following the training camp, the team will compete in the Division 1A World Championship from April 18 to 24.
According to a statement from the press service of the Ukrainian Hockey Federation (UHF), the Ukrainian youth hockey team is set to begin preparations for a crucial tournament that will take place in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland. After the training camp, the team will participate in the Division 1A World Championship, scheduled for April 18 to 24. This event is expected to be a pivotal moment for young Ukrainian hockey players eager to showcase their skills on the international stage.
As part of their preparation for the championship, the Ukrainian youth team has planned two friendly matches against teams from Hungary and Poland. These encounters will be vital for finalizing the roster of players who will represent Ukraine in the world tournament. The training camp roster includes 30 players, comprising 4 goalkeepers, 11 defensemen, and 15 forwards. This diversity and depth in the lineup enable the coaching staff to select the strongest players for participation in the competitions.
The roster of the Ukrainian youth team features Illya Bobrov from Fehérvár Hockey Academy (Hungary), Konstantin Nalbatov from Vienna Capitals U18 (Austria), Fedir Kolpovsky from Kremenchuk (Ukraine), and Myroslav Onyshchenko from Plzen U17 (Czech Republic) as the goalkeepers. This quartet of goalies brings experience that could prove crucial in challenging matches.
Among the defensemen, notable players include Mykhailo Korobkin from Jungadler Mannheim U20 (Germany), Yaroslav Panasenko from Kometa Brno U20 (Czech Republic), Pavlo Nikolaev from Rookie Bulls München U20 (Germany), and Yegor Ostapenko from Atlantic Coast Academy 16U AAA (USA). Other defenders, such as Bronislav Kotenko from Piteå U20 (Sweden) and Pavlo Belyaev from Poruba U17 (Czech Republic), also possess significant international experience, enhancing the team's chances of success.
The forward lineup features talents like Arseniy Vorotelyak from Jungadler Mannheim U20 (Germany), Sviatoslav Vasyak from Mladá Boleslav U20 (Czech Republic), Klym Luchkin from Michalovce U20 (Slovakia), and Danil Olifirchuk from GKS Katowice (Poland).
