Ukrainian Forces Repel 82 Attacks Since Dawn, Key Areas Under Pressure

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released operational information regarding the front-line situation, indicating that since the beginning of April 7, Ukrainian defenders have thwarted 82 attacks from Russian military forces. The most critical areas remain Kostiantynivka, Huliaipole, and Pokrovsk, where the enemy has been attempting to breach Ukrainian defenses.

According to the General Staff, Russian troops have been actively utilizing artillery to bombard populated areas in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Specifically, the towns of Korenky, Hirky, Iskryskivshchyna, Starykove, Ulanove, Malushyne, and Rohizne in Sumy have come under fire, along with Halahanivka, Semenivka, and Tymonovychy in the Chernihiv region.

In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Russian forces made two attempts to storm Ukrainian positions. At the same time, there were 40 recorded shellings of populated areas and Ukrainian military positions, two of which were conducted using multiple launch rocket systems. Additionally, the enemy carried out one airstrike using a guided bomb.

In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces launched one assault on Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk. In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy made five attempts to improve their position in the areas of Kurylivka, Petropavlivka, and Pishchane.

The Lyman direction continues to face pressure from Russian attacks, with ongoing offensives targeting defense forces near Tverdokhlibove. In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully halted an attempt by Russian forces to advance near Rai-Oleksandrivka, while two clashes in the area of Ryznivka are still ongoing.

No active actions from the enemy were recorded in the Kramatorsk direction; however, in the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian invaders launched twenty attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleschiivka, Illinivka, Stepanivka, Ivanopillia, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops attempted to displace Ukrainian soldiers from their positions seventeen times in the areas of Bilitske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Rivne, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Hryshyne, Dachne, Filia, and Novopavlivka. One clash in this direction is still ongoing.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy launched six attacks in the areas of Sosnivka, Sichneve, and Voronoe. In the Huliaipole direction, defense forces repelled 18 Russian attacks in the areas of Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, Varvarivka, Huliaipole, Sviatopetrivka, Pryluky, Hirke, Olenokostyantynivka, and Zaliznychne. The enemy also conducted airstrikes in the areas of Vozdvizhenske and Tavriyske, where two clashes are ongoing.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces executed airstrikes in the Tavriyske area. In the Dniprovsk direction, the Russian army conducted four storming actions towards the Antonivsky Bridge but did not achieve success. The settlement of Stepaniivka also suffered airstrikes from guided bombs.

No significant changes in the situation have been reported in other directions, and no attempts by the enemy to advance have been recorded. As reported by Ukrinform, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Group Viktor Trehubov noted that Ukrainian defense forces regained control over a small area in the Kharkiv region between the settlements of Ambarne and Milove, while Russian troops continue active operations in the Lyman and Kupiansk directions.
