Easter Baskets: Kyiv Restaurants Offer Ready-Made Solutions for Celebration

Easter is not just a holiday; it is also a time for preparations that can require significant effort. To save time on assembling a lengthy menu, which includes dyed eggs, Easter cakes, meats, oils, and vegetables, restaurants in Ukraine's capital are offering luxurious ready-made Easter baskets. These baskets not only save time but also add an aesthetic touch and tranquility to the celebration.

Easter baskets have become an essential part of holiday preparations, as they need to be not only gathered but also beautifully arranged to look appealing. However, this year you can avoid all these hassles by ordering ready-made baskets that have already been prepared by Kyiv's restaurants. NV FOOD has compiled five options for places where you can order various baskets to suit any taste.

One Ukrainian chocolate and sweets brand has teamed up with a bakery and chef Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi to create Easter baskets that are true culinary stories. The largest basket, named "The Language of Love by Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi," impresses with its contents: a fluffy Easter cake from Marchuk Khlib, elderberry jam and capers, pickled vegetables, spicy salted lemons, pork belly, duck fillet, wine, and a plethora of sweets.

For those looking to delight their loved ones and ensure an abundance of treats, the basket "Generous Grandmother's Love" is offered, containing an Easter cake, bunny-shaped marshmallow eggs, caramel, and wine. If you plan to visit friends and want to express your love, consider the basket "Love from North to South," which includes an Easter cake, eggs decorated with oak leaf and fish symbols, elderberry jam, and candies. For celebrations at home with children or for sweet lovers, the basket "Child's Love, Caramel" is suitable, featuring an Easter cake, bunny-shaped marshmallow eggs, and two types of caramel—salty and chocolate.

Additionally, mini-sets with several products can be ordered. Pre-orders for these sets are already open on the Spell website, with prices ranging from 349 UAH to 6999 UAH. Orders can also be placed via Direct on Instagram.

The "Lyubchyk" restaurant chain offers a traditional basket of Easter treats, which includes a croissant with orange curd, dyed eggs, homemade boiled pork, homemade baked sausage, market-brined cheese, chicken liver pâté, fresh vegetables, red dry wine Gastro Family Merlot, and a gift candle. The price of this basket is 2998 UAH. This chain also offers a festive dish menu constructor, where you can choose various items that will be beautifully packaged and sent. Prices start from 179 UAH.

All baskets are currently available for pre-order. Among them is the Easter basket featuring festive hits and bestsellers from the "Vatra" restaurant. Inside, you will find an Easter cake with salted caramel and cornflowers, dyed eggs painted with rose petals, smoked pork ribs glazed with rye kvass, homemade sausage from the chef, herring caviar, truffle mousse, smoked oil with sun-dried tomatoes and garlic, and a protective candle. The price of this basket is 2598 UAH.

The "Oxota Na Ovets" restaurant offers an Asian-style Easter basket with Peking duck for 3980 UAH, while "Ostannya Barykada" has a basket for 2698 UAH, which includes eggs with basil, sous-vide pork ribs, and a festive marshmallow set.

The elegant gastronomic Easter basket from the "Kanapa" restaurant costs 2798 UAH and includes Kosiv cheese horses, pork knuckle, and an Easter cake with salted caramel. Orders are accepted on the Gastro Family website.

The open-fire author cuisine restaurant also offers unusual chef's shirts. In these, you will find an Easter cake, ingredients for preparing an exquisite appetizer, and a postcard with step-by-step instructions to easily recreate a piece of our cuisine at home. For example, capers and elderflower clusters, stracciatella cheese, smoked duck, baked beets, smoked pork belly, and ramson oil. The shirt itself includes an Easter cake with dried fruits and popcorn, delicate rabbit pâté, salt-baked pear, fire-roasted beet, coffee and basil oil, as well as a spice mix for yogurt. A unique restaurant-museum with a history has once again assembled an Easter basket for families. It includes an Easter cake, dyed eggs, homemade sausage, boiled pork, chicken liver pâté, roast chicken stuffed with apples and raisins, and a bottle of red wine from a Ukrainian producer. The price of the basket is 3950 UAH. Additionally, you can separately add boiled pork, homemade sausage, chicken pâté, roast chicken with apples, and dyed eggs. The home-restaurant has opened pre-orders for Easter dishes and author Easter cakes from the chain. For the holiday, they have prepared options that can be ordered together or separately. The main element is the Easter cake with ears, featuring candied fruits, raisins, cranberries, and kumquat. They also offer duck in plum sauce with apples, mullet with shrimp, homemade sausage, pâté, forshmak, and liver cake. The total price will depend on the filling. Pre-orders are accepted until April 9, with pickups starting from April 11.

In anticipation of Easter, goodwine has presented a selection of baskets and a special menu for the festive table. Four options of sets are offered, featuring traditional pastries, eggs (including chocolate), wine, and antipasti. Each basket contains festive Easter cakes or colombe from Bakehouse, while compact sets feature cakes from the local supplier Babeni. The wine for the sets is traditionally selected by goodwine's sommelier, with the option to substitute for another item upon individual request.
