Weather Forecast: Ukraine to Experience Temperatures Up to +9°C and Light Rain, with Wet Snow Overnight

According to a report from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center published on their official Facebook page, the weather in Ukraine on April 8 is expected to be uncomfortable. This is attributed to the rear part of a cyclone located in the eastern region of the country. A cold air mass will be present at higher altitudes, with additional cold air moving in from northern directions.

As a result, meteorologists predict light rain throughout the day, with the possibility of wet snow overnight. The wind will be coming from the northwest, blowing at speeds of 7-12 meters per second. In the western regions, as well as in the Vinnytsia and Zhytomyr regions, wind gusts could reach 15-20 meters per second during the day, which may create additional inconveniences for residents in these areas.

Nighttime temperatures are expected to range from 1 to 6 degrees Celsius, but ground temperatures, particularly in Transcarpathia and the northeastern part of the country, may drop to 0-3 degrees Celsius, leading to potential frost. During the day, temperatures will rise to between 4 and 9 degrees Celsius, which will also not contribute to a comfortable outdoor experience.

In the Carpathians, light snow is anticipated, with temperatures fluctuating between 0 and -3 degrees Celsius both at night and during the day. This could complicate situations for tourists and locals planning outdoor activities in the mountains.

In Kyiv and the surrounding region, cloudy weather with some clear spells is also expected. Light rain will occur throughout the day, with the possibility of wet snow overnight. The wind in the capital will be from the northwest, with speeds of 7-12 meters per second.

Nighttime temperatures in Kyiv will range from 1 to 3 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures will rise to between 6 and 8 degrees Celsius. In the Kyiv region, nighttime temperatures will fluctuate from 1 to 6 degrees Celsius, with possible ground frost down to 0-3 degrees Celsius. During the day, temperatures in this region will also remain within the range of 4 to 9 degrees Celsius.

Thus, despite the arrival of spring, the weather in Ukraine continues to remind residents of winter's chill.
