Hourly Power Outages Implemented in Ukraine Due to Capacity Shortage

Starting Wednesday, April 8, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, all regions of Ukraine will experience mandatory hourly power outages. This decision comes from the energy company Ukrenergo, highlighting the necessity of these restrictions due to the aftermath of previous Russian attacks on the country's energy infrastructure.

On Wednesday, April 8, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, all regions of Ukraine will implement mandatory hourly power outages. This information was announced by the energy company Ukrenergo, emphasizing that such restrictions are necessary due to the consequences of previous Russian attacks on the country's energy facilities.

Ukrenergo stated that these limitations are related to a capacity shortage in the energy system, which has arisen amid high levels of energy consumption. This decision has become a necessary step as the energy infrastructure has suffered significant damage due to military actions.

Earlier, Ukrenergo had already reported that on April 8, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, power outage schedules would be in effect for industrial consumers. This indicates the seriousness of the situation, as the country's energy sector faces enormous challenges.

Subsequently, the company DTEK confirmed that in Kyiv, as well as in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odesa regions, power outage schedules would also be implemented. This decision is a response to the growing capacity shortage caused by recent attacks on energy facilities.

It is worth recalling that on April 6, Russian forces attacked a DTEK energy facility in the Odesa region. The company noted that the destruction is significant, and restoring the energy infrastructure will require considerable time and resources.

Additionally, as a result of the same attack, an energy facility in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district of the Chernihiv region was damaged. These events further underscore the vulnerability of Ukraine's energy system, which has already endured numerous attacks from the aggressor.

In light of these developments, Ukrainian citizens are advised to prepare in advance for possible power outages by following the recommendations of energy companies. It is important to remain calm and adhere to instructions, as the country's energy sector is doing everything possible to stabilize the situation.
