2.7 Million Square Meters of Roads Repaired in Ukraine, Says Svyrydenko
Active road repair efforts are underway in Ukraine, with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announcing significant progress in her Telegram channel. The repairs encompass both international highways and public roads, marking a crucial step in enhancing the country's infrastructure.
In Ukraine, extensive work is being carried out to repair roads, as reported by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko on her Telegram channel. According to her, the roadworks cover both international routes and public roads, which is an important step towards improving the country's infrastructure.
Currently, approximately 170 teams are working across Ukraine, comprising over 1,500 workers who are engaged in repair activities on a daily basis. Since the beginning of the year, 2.7 million square meters of road damage have been addressed, reflecting the government's commitment to restoring the transportation infrastructure.
Svyrydenko noted that about 50% of the ongoing repairs on international highways have been completed to date. She emphasized that all current repair work on these highways is expected to be finished by May 1, while major works are slated for completion by June 1. These timelines are crucial for ensuring safety and convenience in road traffic throughout Ukraine.
Moreover, efforts to strengthen international transport connections are ongoing, which is a vital aspect for the development of the economy and Ukraine's integration into the European transport space. Authorities recognize that quality roads not only facilitate ease of movement but also promote business, tourism, and other sectors.
As reported by Ukrinform, Oleksii Kuleba, the Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine's recovery and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, highlighted that Kirovohrad region is leading among regions in the execution of road works. This indicates that Ukraine is actively working on improving road infrastructure across all regions, which, in turn, has a positive impact on economic development.
Thus, the government's efforts to repair roads in Ukraine continue to yield results, bringing the country closer to achieving its transportation infrastructure goals. Citizens can look forward to improved conditions for travel and transportation, which is a significant factor in the current circumstances.
