Warm Weather Expected in Ukraine as Rain Retreats from the North and West

In the coming days, Ukraine will experience mild temperatures with rain diminishing from the northern and western regions, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

On Friday, April 3, Ukraine will see light rain, except in most western regions. Central areas may experience thunderstorms, adding a dynamic touch to the spring atmosphere. This information comes from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, which regularly monitors weather conditions across the country.

During the night and morning, fog is expected in most central and southern regions, potentially complicating visibility on the roads. Winds will vary in direction across Ukraine, blowing at speeds of 3-8 m/s, while in the western regions, winds will strengthen to the northwest, reaching speeds of 7-12 m/s during the day.

Nighttime temperatures will range from 5 to 10 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs expected to rise to between 13 and 18 degrees. This indicates that spring is finally gaining momentum, allowing Ukrainians to enjoy more comfortable weather conditions.

In the capital city of Ukraine, Kyiv, no precipitation is forecasted for the night on Friday, although light rain may occur during the day. Winds in Kyiv will also be variable, blowing at speeds of 3-8 m/s. Nighttime temperatures in the capital will range from 8 to 10 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures are expected to reach between 16 and 18 degrees.

Interestingly, according to the Central Geophysical Observatory named after Boris Sreznevsky, the highest recorded daytime temperature in Kyiv on April 3 throughout history was 25.0 degrees, noted in 1990, while the lowest nighttime temperature reached -10.4 degrees in 1931. These figures underscore the variability of weather in Ukraine.

On Saturday, April 4, light rain is also expected in some areas of Ukraine; however, most western and northern regions will remain dry. Winds will predominantly be from the northwest at speeds of 7-12 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will stay within the range of 5-10 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures will fluctuate between 13 and 18 degrees; in the western regions, nighttime temperatures will drop to 1-6 degrees, with daytime highs climbing to 11-16 degrees.

In Kyiv, Saturday is also forecasted to be dry. Winds will continue from the northwest at the same speed of 7-12 m/s. Nighttime temperatures in the capital will remain around 8-10 degrees, while daytime temperatures are expected to be between 14 and 16 degrees. Thus, the weather in Ukraine promises to be quite pleasant for walks and outdoor activities.
