Document Submission for Schools Begins in Ukraine: LUN Analyzes NMT Results and Ranks Kyiv Educational Institutions
Starting April 1, 2023, Ukraine officially opened the submission of documents for school enrollment, marking a significant event for many parents and students. In this context, the LUN team conducted a detailed analysis of the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) results and compiled a ranking of educational institutions in Kyiv based on the average scores achieved by students.
On April 1, 2023, the process for submitting documents to schools officially commenced in Ukraine, an important milestone for numerous parents and students across the country. This event has prompted the LUN service team to undertake a thorough analysis of the results from the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) and to create a ranking of educational establishments in Kyiv based on the average scores obtained by students.
Representatives from LUN shared insights during an interview with NV Business, stating that all data underpinning the ranking was gathered from LUN's interactive NMT map. This free and accessible tool is regularly updated, allowing parents and students to view school results throughout Ukraine, thereby making the selection process for educational institutions more transparent and informed.
The LUN team meticulously collected and structured data provided by the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment, aiming to assist parents in choosing schools based on the analyzed NMT results. This approach not only allows for an evaluation of the overall educational standards at institutions but also helps to identify which subjects are taught most effectively.
Additionally, LUN conducted an analysis of NMT results at the district level. According to the findings, the highest average scores were recorded in the Holosiivskyi district, where the average score was 145.36. The second position was claimed by the Darnytskyi district with an average score of 145.06, while the Obolonskyi district secured third place with a score of 145.03. The top five also included the Pecherskyi district with an average score of 144.88 and the Shevchenkivskyi district with 144.78.
“The NMT map from LUN is designed to encourage individuals selecting housing to consider not only the proximity of a school but also its actual results. This provides an opportunity to choose a neighborhood and home based on which school would best suit a child, particularly regarding the subjects they plan to take for university admission,” stated Anna Denysenko, head of the social responsibility department at LUN.
The NMT map from LUN encompasses schools across Ukraine, featuring open data from 2021 to 2025. This tool enables quick comparisons of results across various subjects, such as Ukrainian language, mathematics, and English. Users can view the average score for each school, understand its strengths, and compare institutions within the same district or city.
LUN serves as an online platform for real estate searches and is actively working to enhance conditions for its users. Previously, it was reported that the budget for purchasing or renting property among Ukrainians has shifted, which has also influenced the selection of schools for children.
According to data from the State Statistics Service, the cost of residential construction in Ukraine increased by an average of 10-25% over the nine months of 2025, depending on the class of housing. Prices for construction and installation works in the third quarter of 2025 rose by 5.3% compared to the same period last year, while prices in the primary housing market increased by 12.8%. These factors may also affect parents' decisions regarding the selection of educational institutions for their children.
