Payments of 1,500 Hryvnias Begin for Vulnerable Groups in Ukraine

Ukraine has initiated one-time assistance payments of 1,500 hryvnias for vulnerable segments of the population, as announced by Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity Denis Ulyutin.

In Ukraine, the government has started distributing one-time assistance payments amounting to 1,500 hryvnias for vulnerable groups within the population. This announcement was made by Denis Ulyutin, the Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity, who shared the news on his Facebook page. According to the information provided by the minister, the Pension Fund of Ukraine has already completed the initial disbursements for 540,000 individuals who receive their pensions through Ukrposhta. The payments will be carried out in stages over the next few days, with the majority scheduled for April 7-8.

Ulyutin noted that by the end of April this year, approximately 13 million people are expected to receive the payments. This indicates that the program aims to support a large number of Ukrainians who are in need of financial assistance amid ongoing economic instability. The funds will be deposited into bank accounts or distributed through Ukrposhta, ensuring convenient access for all recipients.

It is important to highlight that citizens do not need to submit any additional applications to receive this assistance. This streamlines the process and makes it more accessible for those who may be financially vulnerable. The funds can be used for any essential needs, such as food, medication, utility bills, and other vital expenses.

Ulyutin emphasized that the decision to provide one-time support is being implemented within the framework of existing programs of the Ministry of Social Policy, and does not entail new obligations or additional burdens on the budget. This means that the government is striving to find ways to support the population without creating further financial commitments for the state.

It is worth recalling that earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made the decision to provide a one-time targeted payment of 1,500 hryvnias for pensioners and individuals receiving social assistance. This decision was a response to the growing needs of the population in light of the economic challenges the country is facing.
