Weather Forecast in Ukraine: Mostly Dry with Occasional Light Rain
In the coming days, Ukraine will experience predominantly dry weather, with only light local rain expected in some areas, particularly in the southeast and east of the country.
On Sunday, April 5, Ukraine will witness predominantly dry weather conditions. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, only light local rain is possible at night in the southeastern and eastern regions of the country. Wind conditions will be characterized by a northwestern breeze, blowing at speeds of 7-12 meters per second, ensuring a refreshing atmosphere.
The temperature across Ukraine will fluctuate between 2-7 degrees Celsius at night, while daytime temperatures are anticipated to reach between 11-16 degrees Celsius. In the southern regions, as well as in Zakarpattia and Prykarpattia, temperatures may rise to as high as 19 degrees Celsius. In the Carpathians, nighttime temperatures will range from 0-5 degrees Celsius, with daytime temperatures varying from 9 to 14 degrees Celsius.
In the capital city of Ukraine, Kyiv, dry weather is also forecasted. The wind here will be northwestern, maintaining the same speed of 7-12 meters per second. Nighttime temperatures in Kyiv will be around 5-7 degrees Celsius, while during the day, temperatures are expected to climb to between 13-15 degrees Celsius.
The Central Geophysical Observatory named after Boris Sreznevsky notes that the highest temperature recorded in Kyiv on April 5 was 22.6 degrees Celsius in 1946. Conversely, the lowest recorded nighttime temperature on this day was a chilling -7.5 degrees Celsius in 1944.
Looking ahead to Monday, April 6, rain is expected overnight in most western regions of Ukraine, with showers anticipated to spread across all regions during the day, except for the southeast. The wind will shift direction to the southwest and then to the northwest, maintaining a speed of 7-12 meters per second. In the Carpathians at night, as well as during the day in the western, northern, and central regions, wind gusts may reach 15-20 meters per second.
Nighttime temperatures across Ukraine will range from 3-8 degrees Celsius. In the eastern regions, as well as in Sumy and Poltava regions, temperatures may drop to between 1-6 degrees Celsius, with ground frost possible, ranging from 0-3 degrees Celsius. Daytime temperatures are expected to rise to between 11-16 degrees Celsius, and in the southern and central regions, they could reach as high as 15-21 degrees Celsius.
In Kyiv, dry weather is also forecasted overnight; however, rain is expected during the day. The wind will be from the southwest, transitioning to the northwest, with speeds of 7-12 meters per second. Nighttime temperatures will remain within the range of 5-7 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures will again rise to between 13-15 degrees Celsius.
